That is no longer the case as they bring in a quality veteran in Orlando Cabrera. He will give this team that spark as the number two hitter, or maybe he'll hit sixth? Pascal Leclaire is still out injured, but the Senators are not missing him with Brian Elliot in outstanding form; he has a .966 save percentage over his last six games. A word of warning though; Elliot is a solid pick-up, but he is playing way over his head at the moment and could still make way for Leclaire when he returns.

Evander Kane has earned himself an NHL roster spot and his points have come in spurts just like his team. Look for Kane to finish with 10-12 points in his last 30 games of the season, with the majority of them being goals. His development is ahead of schedule and he should become an 85 point player who will provide 100+ PIMs in the future.

Brett Myers comes over from his tenure in Philadelphia and brings a lifetime ERA hovering around 4 and a half. There was also a year in there where he was the closer (21 saves in '07). The move to Minute Maid Park isn't as welcoming as say, PETCO Park in San Diego, with the short porch in left field. He's still a guy to keep an eye on, as you might get lucky in the late teen rounds on draft day. He can still throw hard and will provide near strikeout per inning numbers for you. Definitely worth the back end of your rotation.
