Anaheim Ducks

Bobby Ryan broke a four-game goalless streak on Wednesday against the Red Wings. He is up to 25 on the year and will easily surpass his career high of 31 set last year, if he stays healthy. Ryan Getzlaf is on a four-game point streak. He has seven points in those four games including two games with two assists each. Jonas Hiller made every start this week and got wins in two out of the three games. He even got his second shutout of the year against the Panthers last Monday.

Calgary Flames

Matt Stajan scored a goal in his second game as a Flame Wednesday against the Hurricanes. Unfortunately, Niklas Hagman has only registered one assist in the four games he has been a Flame. I wouldn’t get too worried just yet. It will take him some time to get familiar with his teammates. I still think he’ll be the top fantasy option of the players that were sent to Calgary. Miikka Kiprusoff had an average week with a 2-2 record. However, he hasn’t had to face a lot of shots, which is good news for the Flames defense.

Chicago Blackhawks

Patrick Kane picked up an assist Saturday night against the Blues. He now has 39 assists on the year and is up to 61 points. Marian Hossa rode his point streak to four games before it was snapped on Friday against the Coyotes. Antti Niemi got his first start since Jan. 23 and recorded a 2-1 victory over the Blues. He was peppered with 35 shots. Jonathan Toews had a goal and an assist in that game against the Blues.

Colorado Avalanche

Paul Stastny has not had a lot to brag about in the last couple of weeks. He hasn’t scored a goal since Jan. 24 and has just one point in his past six games. Wojtek Wolski snapped a five-game pointless streak with a goal Saturday against the Oilers. Craig Anderson picked up his sixth shutout of the year in that game against the Oilers. He is tied for third in the league in shutouts. Matt Duchene is on a three-game point streak with three points in those three games.

Columbus Blue Jackets

Rick Nash is on a four-game point streak including a goal against the Sabres on Saturday. Mathieu Garon got hammered on Tuesday against the Avalanche. He allowed five goals on 26 shots. On the other hand, Steve Mason picked up his third shutout of the year against Sabres. Mason has won his past two starts, which we haven’t seen since October. Rostislav Klesla will be out of the lineup until after the Olympic break with a leg injury.

Dallas Stars

Brad Richards is on a three-game point streak with four points in those three games. Loui Eriksson is also on a three-game point streak including a shorthanded goal against the Coyotes on Saturday. James Neal recorded a goal and an assist against the Coyotes. Marty Turco is proving he still has some gas in the tank. He picked up his third shutout of the year against the Coyotes. The Stars are on the brink of a playoff spot and will need all the help they can get from Turco right now.

Detroit Red Wings

The Red Wings traded Ville Leino to Philadelphia for Ole-Kristian Tollefsen and a fifth-round draft pick in 2011. The Red Wings needed to make cap room for Johan Franzen, who will be returning to the lineup on Tuesday against the Blues. Don’t be surprised if Franzen starts out slow, he hasn’t played a game since Oct. 8. However, he will be a big contributor for the Wings down the stretch. Pavel Datsyuk has nine points in his last seven games.

Edmonton Oilers

Dustin Penner is on a five-game goalless streak and has only notched one assist in those past five games. However, good news for the Oilers, they finally broke their 13-game losing streak. Jeff Deslauriers picked up two wins last week including his second shutout of the year over the Flyers on Wednesday. He faced 33 shots, but managed to stop every single one of them. Sam Gagner had a five-game point streak snapped on Saturday against the Avalanche.

Los Angeles Kings

Anze Kopitar is on a tear in 2010. He has 15 points in his last nine games including two goals and two assists Thursday against the Ducks. Drew Doughty is on a three-game pointless streak. Michal Handzus has six points in his past two games. He’s been hot lately, but I don’t think you can rely on him to be this hot for the rest of the year. Keep an eye on him, but don’t make any big moves yet. Jonathan Quick picked up his ninth win in a row on Saturday against the Red Wings. Quick leads the league in wins with 34.

Minnesota Wild

Martin Havlat had a two-goal game Thursday against the Oilers. However, these are the only two points he has been able to muster in his past four games. Niklas Backstrom and Josh Harding are both out of the lineup. Backstrom was out with an illness and Harding has a hip injury. Anton Khudobin was called up from Houston (AHL) and notched two wins this week. It’s no doubt a dream start for the rookie, but it most likely will not happen for the rest of the season.

Nashville Predators

Patric Hornqvist snapped a three-game pointless streak with two goals and an assist Thursday against the Avalanche. J.P. Dumont broke an eight-game goalless streak with two goals Saturday against the Sharks. Pekka Rinne recorded his third shutout of the year despite recording a 1-0 shootout loss to the Coyotes. It’s no doubt frustrating as he did all he could to keep his team in the game, but they were unable to put the puck in the net.

Phoenix Coyotes

After going on a four-game point streak, Shane Doan is now on a three-game pointless streak. Robert Lang hasn’t scored a goal since Dec. 23 and he has only recorded seven assists since then. Ilya Bryzgalov recorded his sixth shutout of the year over the Predators on Tuesday. He is tied for third in the league in shutouts. Scottie Upshall is most likely out for the rest of the season after tearing his ACL Thursday against the Flames. This hurts fantasy owners as Upshall was a great secondary scoring option.

San Jose Sharks

Joe Thornton has five points in his last three games including two goals Tuesday against the Red Wings. Dany Heatley is on a six-game point streak including two power-play goals and an assist Saturday against the Predators. Evgeni Nabokov had an average week with a 1-1 record. Patrick Marleau has three points in his past two games. This Sharks team has a ton of fantasy value and hopefully the Olympic break will not slow down any of the production.

St. Louis Blues

After an amazing seven-game point streak, Andy McDonald is now on a three-game pointless streak. He leads the team in goals with 17 and is tied with Brad Boyes for the league in points with 35. However, McDonald may claim the lead in points if Boyes doesn’t start producing. Boyes is on a four-game pointless streak. T.J. Oshie has an assist in each of his past four games.

Vancouver Canucks

Well, Henrik Sedin has lost the point lead for the time-being. He’s also on a three-game pointless streak. Seems unheard of, but apparently he is human after all. Pavol Demitra scored his first goal of the season Saturday against the Bruins. Demitra has only played 10 games all season, but this goal could get him back in the groove. Roberto Luongo has won eight of his past nine games. He picked up his 30th win of the season against the Bruins.
